For the first research seminar of the PerformArt project, coordinated by Huub van der Linden, we welcomed Prof. Angelo Torre (University of Eastern Piedmont). The collaborative work consisted in exploring the links between “historical production” of places through actions and rituals, and baroque Rome understood as a historic space and soundscape.
Huub van der Linden’s introduction to Baroque Rome as historic space and soundscape and Prof. Torre’s paper on The production of locality: problems and perspectives for historical analysis were both open to the public; the seminar held in the Conference Room at the École française de Rome, Piazza Navona 62, from 9.30am to 12pm.
