Marco Cavietti is an archivist and art historian. He graduated in History of art from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” (2006) and earned a Master of Arts at the Warburg Institute-University of London (2009). Subsequently he attended the School of Archival Science, Palaeography and Diplomatics of the State Archive of Rome (2013), the one-year course of Archival Science at the School of the Vatican Secret Archives (2015), and has recently completed the course at the School of Advanced Studies in Contemporary Archival Science at the Central State Archive (2016). He is currently specialising in the School of Advanced Studies in archival and library heritage of the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. He has participated in the project of cataloguing the attached graphical material preserved in the Acts of the Thirty Capitoline Notaries (2010-2011) as well as the revision of the inventory of the Capitoline Notaries (2014) at the State Archives in Rome. He has collaborated in the restructuring and formation of the Historical Archive of Religious Buildings collection in the Ministry of the Interior, department for civil liberties and immigration (2012-2013). With the aid of a scholarship granted by the Department of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences of the University “G. D Annunzio” in Chieti, he has participated in the 2013 FIRB Project on the Savelli family, coordinated by Dr C. Mazzetti di Pietralata (2015-2016). He has contributed as a trainee to the analytical cataloguing of part of the of the Barberini family collection preserved in the archive section of the Vatican Apostolic Library (2015-2016). He has also contributed to the following exhibitions held at the State Archives in Rome: Caravaggio in Rome. A true-to life existence (1st February-31st May 2011) and The factory of wisdom. University at the time of Borromini (29th April- 26th July 2015).
